Sounds almost exactly the same as mine, but I can't replicate it each and every time like you can. But yeah, it sounds nearly the same. Ugh.

Maybe mine aren't fully gone yet and I can get away with just flashing to OTS tune and living with it. Cuz this looks like a PITA fix that's above my abilities:

yes it is a bit technical the swapping, also need to buy 4 original oring and to mount them you need a special tool that Subaru/toyota sell

I would've thought they would swap those when they swapped my short block at the dealership last June. But maybe the tune popped the new ones in that time? Or the dealership cheaped out and didn't replace them.

Makes sense. How long of a job would this be? Seems like I need a bunch of parts from that video. Might just get the dealership to swap it if it's not an arm and a leg. Hard to work on cars in an apartment parking lot lol.

If it was DI seals would it also be making unwanted knocking/popping noises during spirited/hard acceleration say a 10-80 pull?

usually if a oring is missing it just makes the loud pop on quick blips at any rpm, anyway if in doubt just have someone blip on ur car while you are in the front with bay opened, it s pretty obvious if a loud pop comes from the heads
i ve seen videos even with a small cloud of vaporized fuel fuming out of the injectors some years ago |

My 23 makes more or less this same sound doing the same thing. Piston rattle knock/clacky sound. Did it off the lot.
