Garmin Catalyst camera setup
Is anyone running a Catalyst camera behind the driver on a roll bar or something similar so you can see your hands on video?
I was told the camera has to go on the windshield for the system to work correctly. Is that true, and can you run a second camera in the back or facing in? |

The camera needs to see the complete track as that's how the suggestions and coaching are made on your exact vehicle placement as is relates to track turn in, apex, track out...etc No second camera option

If you want to see what you are doing, mount a Go-Pro behind you on the roll bar, then you can view your inputs as well.
I recently got a Catalyst and wanted to mount the camera back there as well...

Have a look at the AIM stuff. The aim solo DL 2 is not too bad and will provide car data via the OBD2 port. You can add a smarty cam if you want video with overlay that you can also view along side your data in racestudio 3.

This among other reasons is why I sold my Catalyst after one weekend's use and went back to my AIM stuff.
