Yeah, and a different curve even ignoring the 1whp.. same timestamp though.

Most have gained great power with the header, Agency Power's appears to lose power? Something can't be right here.

I'd guess a fiberglass lip spoiler, or CFRP? Can't see much but some resin.

I'm interested, because so far none of the lips/spoilers on offer appeal to me.. all of them seem too "bolted on" and after thoughts - would love a custom, integrated spoiler.. id' be willing to sand down and repaint the trunk for a nice integrated look.

Yeah filter value is different, changes the curve quite a bit, especially at the top.

Huge smoothing differences (45 on one, 90 on the other), also a change in the y axis.

I can see them being the same with those considerations.

Yeah missed the filter difference at first, enough smoothing to go from losing power up top to not really for the same run.

Ok got it, I can deal with that.

But you're also telling me I should not add on your midpipe or header because once I do I will lose power? Max power = 183; Avg power = 126

How on Earth could that be possible? Doesn't your midpipe get rid of the factory cat, not even replacing it with a high flow unit?

So most 4 cylinders gain power from a catback but then lose it with the addition of a header, unless you also add an intake?

Color me confused. Maybe I'm ignorant or maybe I'm missing something. Please educate me.

Couple of questions:

Want to make sure these are whp numbers, not chp numbers. Charts imply it could be chp, but I'm not sure Mustang has a "crank horsepower" measurement mode. So please confirm one way or the other.

Second, what is the dyno correction type on this graph? SAE, STD, Uncorrected, etc.?

1)Do you think that's from the heat soak?
2) Josh, you mentioned the header alone won't show much gains, but wouldn't it at least show something? Lachute's showed what, a 10whp gain with just that alone.

I'm curious as to why a more free flowing header (from stock) would result in less of a gain
No worries man
Im not going to blame anything on it being heat soaked as far as power loss. I just wanted to let everyone know that a lot of the runs were back to back to back and the engine never really cooled off so there were no glory runs.

Even though the header is free flowing its just bottle necking into the rest of the stock exhaust so gains would be minimal. I can post the dyno if you want all it really did was smooth out the power band and netted 1 whp in the top end.

My experience with vivid.
I spent about 8K with them 3 years ago on a 2JZ-GTE BK 3.4 engine kit and accessories.
I had some minor parts problems that were not their fault they handled it quickly and professionally.
IMHO they have done the best they can to answer our questions and they are currently who I plan to get my catback and mid from.

But in this case the graphs show the header and overpipe LOSING power with the AP catback?

Ill be the first to say im not a dyno whiz and i look at numbers just like the rest of you. Ill assume the baselines look different from the smoothing used

Also ill assume the catback and the catback w/ header are due to heat?
I just said i wouldnt blame it on that but it is the likely culprit.

I have confidence in the header I just think it is going to be best suited once someone actually gets some time on a dyno and tunes the car.

Thats the biggest thing that is missing in my eyes is having the car tuned with these modifications.
