I never looked but lucky you, I've got another set waiting to go on my wife's WRX, so I can compare.

I won't bother trying to take a picture, no way I'll get it in focus. The threads on both are probably equally "rough" but the black ones have much sharper tops to the threads than the stock ones. The stock ones look more like an acme screw (not completely obviously, just trying to illustrate what I'm talking about).

Sweet, thanks! I was hoping it was that easy, but didn't want to destroy a set.

Yea cut/saw the square part off and it'll fit right in like others have said/done for the engine mounts.

The transmission Mount bolts right in.

And finally, took the Subaru off the rear. Debadge = rice

A friend removed letters from his Honda Civic si. Not sure what that was about. He has a buddy who did the same, so monkey see... monkey do. He is in fact a little jealous of my BRZ, but won't admit it. The most common thing that happens when someone sees 'Subaru' on the car they say, "I didn't know they made a car like that." Is this some sort of secret or what?

What did you do to your 2nd gen BRZ today?

I debadge because it’s much cleaner looking. I know what car it is, I don’t need a reminder. Especially when the badges keep me from detailing that spot properly. Let’s not gatekeep one’s preference for badges on/off.

As long as you don’t put badges on that insinuate sporting credentials the car doesn’t have. Looking at you 528i with an ///M badges on the trunk lid.

The trunk lid already says Subaru. I didn't need it spelled out too

I took the Subaru and BRZ off my 2020 BRZ. The SUBARU was a no brainer - way too busy. Didn’t like the look of the BRZ so that went too. Pretty sure I am going to leave all the badges on the GR86 though.

Took the BRZ to another NASA event, still stock besides camber, brake pads and fluid. We did a few 35-40 minute sessions and the car took everything I threw at it. Oil temps somehow never went above 248 on two 85 degree days. I'm impressed, I only let up on the cool down lap.

These stock Michelins are pretty much toast now. I'm debating if I want to try and squeeze a 225 200TW on the stock wheel, or just go big and get a 17x9 wheel with a 245 tire since I'm throwing around the idea of time trials anyway. I was trying to find the owner of the GR86 below who managed to put on 255 RT660's on an 18 inch Konig Hexaform with AP Racing brakes, but never found them to see what was done. It looked pretty ok up close though.

Debadging is one of the first things I do too. As soon as I get a warm day here, the "Subaru" letters are gone. I'm still debating the "BRZ" lettering.

It does look so much cleaner and the convenience of not having to detail inside all of those silly little letters cannot be overstated. The huge Subaru logo remains, but I don't think that really matters either. The average person doesn't care what the car is and the real gearheads will know by just looking at it.

I got turned on to the idea of debadging when I lived in Europe. Most people will debadge their cars if able and it's actually a factory option you can select on the order form for many of the automakers.
