Also you really don't know what the roads are like here you can have a 3 lane highway like road but its only 50km. Gaint stretches of highway and its 60km. I get its the law and should be obeyed but not all laws make sense hell there are a bunch of 4 way stops here where you can only go 2 ways yet its still a 4 way stop. Hell, DUI here are only a 3 days impounded and IMO wayy more dangerous any other traffic violation possible. Doesn't make sense.

Not trying to justifiy what I did as I know it was wrong and I been punished for it already.
I was speaking generally rather than at you specifically. Just be careful out there.

no point in wasting your breath on people like this..
highly doubt the guy drives 60mph where it says 60mph.. no one drives speed limit, and going over 120 in an 80 zone is not very difficult in this car, easy to get carried away

What, you've never been in a rush anywhere? Never driven over the speed limit before? Never recieved a speeding ticket or anything?

Just cause you've never been caught doesn't mean you can yell from the top of a soap box.

EVERYONE driving a car is guilty of speeding at some point, just some have never been caught. But here's the kicker, I feel like it's safer driving at 90mph than 55mph. Why? 90mph you're concentrating, you're watching and paying attention to EVERYTHING and what's in your rear view typically doesn't matter. 55mph is light, I get tired going 55mph on the highway. Not to mention I see more people doing other things at the speed limit like talking on the phone, texting, checking for fallen items, etc etc.

Send a text at 90mph? HAH

I'll mostly agree with this. I think generally speed limits are artificially low as a revenue generation tool. I'm less concerned about straight line speed and more with the lane changes that you'll typically see with excessive speed...

This is the type of stuff I hate seeing:

Wow, is it really hard to go the speed limit? These are all dumb fucking reasons to get a ticket. Fastest I've gone in mine is 85mpg for about 10 seconds then slowed down to 70. That's where I keep it at, and yes I understand that 70 isnt the speed limit but I have blown by cops all the time at 70 and nothing happens.

And if you got caught at 85 during that 10 seconds you'd be here saying you got a ticket for 85 in 65. I.E. you'd be someone with a "dumb fucking reason" for speeding, because I can't see any reason you'd NEED to go 85mph for 10 seconds.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Speed limits are way too low, should be at least 80.

went that fast not realizing then when I did I slowed down quick. I dont care if other drivers behind me get mad, its happened many times. If gone 60 and people behind me flash their high beams at me but I dont care i continue with my business. If they flip me off when they pass me I return it back at them.

"Ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking the law." Or in your case, lack of situational awareness. What I'm trying to say is I don't care if you don't do it usually, or if you weren't paying attention; neither will a cop. If your doing the speed and you get pulled over, unless you've got a pretty face and a sick rack, you're getting a ticket.

Not trying to be sexist but my sister's been pulled over like 8 times already and hasn't gotten a ticket yet; maybe it's the Double D's. I on the other hand am the proud owner if 5 speeding tickets and two moving violations. Insurance companies love me.

I'm buying an FR-S fully expecting it will be a cop magnet, especially in Firestorm Red. Just one of the drawbacks of buying a sports car. Thankfully, the FR-S doesn't accelerate all that fast

i used to drive like a crazy person in my tc2 but i actually stick to speed limits maybe 5mph over just to avoid tickets. only once or twice have i hit 80 but that was areas i knew and i had my radar handy..dont want to jinx myself but i hope to never get harassed by cops in this car...because cops in the bronx are ****s! im not even getting tints just to avoid giving them a reason

It doesn't matter what you "feel". What matters is the facts, simple as that, whether you like/dislike/love/hate the situation isn't particularly relevant. I'm not taking sides, just saying.

Also, this "90mph is better because you are concentrating" perspective, is kind of retarded. You should always be concentrating when you are driving. Truth is you can kill someone driving 20mph so it's good to keep things in perspective. Most of the time the speed limits are set for safety reasons, not for revenue generation (though they often get used for such!)

I do agree, there are far too many people txting/etc out there, or are just plain bad drivers! Thinking of getting a Blackvue dashcam just to highlight all the ridiculous shit I see every day going to/from work (and it's only an 8km drive!)
