highly doubt the guy drives 60mph where it says 60mph.. no one drives speed limit, and going over 120 in an 80 zone is not very difficult in this car, easy to get carried away |

What, you've never been in a rush anywhere? Never driven over the speed limit before? Never recieved a speeding ticket or anything?
Just cause you've never been caught doesn't mean you can yell from the top of a soap box. EVERYONE driving a car is guilty of speeding at some point, just some have never been caught. But here's the kicker, I feel like it's safer driving at 90mph than 55mph. Why? 90mph you're concentrating, you're watching and paying attention to EVERYTHING and what's in your rear view typically doesn't matter. 55mph is light, I get tired going 55mph on the highway. Not to mention I see more people doing other things at the speed limit like talking on the phone, texting, checking for fallen items, etc etc. Send a text at 90mph? HAH

Wow, is it really hard to go the speed limit? These are all dumb fucking reasons to get a ticket. Fastest I've gone in mine is 85mpg for about 10 seconds then slowed down to 70. That's where I keep it at, and yes I understand that 70 isnt the speed limit but I have blown by cops all the time at 70 and nothing happens.

Not trying to be sexist but my sister's been pulled over like 8 times already and hasn't gotten a ticket yet; maybe it's the Double D's. I on the other hand am the proud owner if 5 speeding tickets and two moving violations. Insurance companies love me.

I'm buying an FR-S fully expecting it will be a cop magnet, especially in Firestorm Red. Just one of the drawbacks of buying a sports car. Thankfully, the FR-S doesn't accelerate all that fast

i used to drive like a crazy person in my tc2 but i actually stick to speed limits maybe 5mph over just to avoid tickets. only once or twice have i hit 80 but that was areas i knew and i had my radar handy..dont want to jinx myself but i hope to never get harassed by cops in this car...because cops in the bronx are ****s! im not even getting tints just to avoid giving them a reason

Also, this "90mph is better because you are concentrating" perspective, is kind of retarded. You should always be concentrating when you are driving. Truth is you can kill someone driving 20mph so it's good to keep things in perspective. Most of the time the speed limits are set for safety reasons, not for revenue generation (though they often get used for such!) I do agree, there are far too many people txting/etc out there, or are just plain bad drivers! Thinking of getting a Blackvue dashcam just to highlight all the ridiculous shit I see every day going to/from work (and it's only an 8km drive!) |
