I definitely want a set of these when you get a finished product. Do you have a price set yet?

I priced them the same as my other Subaru adapters even though they use more material and cost more to ship. More info: http://www.subaruaudio.net/subaru-sp...nd-scion-fr-s/ Working on the how-to-install page. |

i got a chance to mess with the adapters today, i will be uploading a review and pics sometime this week. upfront i can say the door adapters are ok but dont cover the hole completely... the dash ones im not a fan of at all to be honest. It may just be for me on those tho.

As for the door adapters, I'd be interested to see what you mean about them not covering the hole. As they were based on a smaller adapter that others have confirmed fit the BRZ/FRS, I am wondering what might need to be changed. |

ok np, like i said ill get pics when i have some time this week, its really just that the adapters are about .5" short on the top of the speaker hole. other than that, the issue for me with the dash one was i tryn to use it with a 3.5" speaker not a tweeter... so it didnt really work out.

What advantage do these add? Is it just to give you extra mounting depth? or does it also help the accustics?

With PVC, you get a fairly dense product that allows a secure mounting to the door skin while avoiding the shortcomings of wood and without too much excess weight. |

Ah, Thanks for that.
I am thinking about getting a set from you.. but I havent picked out my speakers yet.. I have a 4 channel amp that I can run the following: 70w @4ohm x4 85w @2ohm x4 or bridged 165w @4ohm x2 component sets I am looking at are Focal, RE audio, or image dynamics. IF I do not bridge and keep all 4 channels, I have a set of 3.5 inch polk audio coax speakers I would install along with a component set. Any opinions? |

So based on feedback, I will be changing the design a bit. I would prefer to have an OEM speaker on hand to facilitate the changes and I am working on that now. Details to follow.

I'm also interested.
I have a set of Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS 6.5" that are rather deep at ~2.7" thanks to the ginormous magnet/basket. I have some angled spacers about 1/2-1" deep from a 2005 WRX that might work, but it sounds like they may need to be re-drilled to fit the BRZ's mounting pattern. If they're a bust, I'd love to help the beta fit testing or purchase a pair if I do in fact need them, I just don't have the car yet. |
