High pitched whine/squeal.

Ive been hearing this high pitch whine/squeal coming from my engine bay for the last few weeks. I at first assumed it was a belt/pulley, so I changed the belt, and checked all the pulleys and they are good. Still can't figure out where or what its coming from. Seems to only happen on cold starts, but once warmed up, seemingly goes away. Anyone have any ideas?

Does it change when you push the clutch pedal in?

With these car's history, BLFRS asked the best question, push in the clutch and see of the noise changes. Beyond that, does the noise change if you turn the steering wheel while you are sitting still? Does the noise change if you turn on the AC or if you turn on a lot of electrical x especially 4 ways, fans and headlights?

You can also go to your local tool store and get a stethoscope fairly inexpensively so that you can start listening to the bearings in individual components.

and importantly, is it coming from the front or rear of the motor?

also, it looks like your video is in the garage-- take the car outside to diagnose(as much as it sucks in the cold). the garage walls are going to make the exhaust resonate and be noisier, which makes it harder to pinpoint issues like this.

When the clutch is being pushed, it stops. When I have my de-froster on, there is a weird noise being made that seems to come from inside the car.

It sounds like it is coming from the rear of the motor. The video actually was taken outside lol

That was my initial thought after it still made the noise after the belt change, and pulley inspection.

Sounds like you have finally met the bad clutch throw out bearing.

Since when does a bad throwout stop making noise when you depress the clutch? A throwout bearing is going bad when its making noise with the clutch pressed in. I can confirm this because my car was doing the opposite and it was the throwout bearing. And every other forum says this.

While your experience is valid, it's not universal. In OP's case, the bearing is dry, partially seized (sticky). It hangs and screeches against the fingers until there's enough pressure to force it to rotate. Common.

That is a possibility but if the bearing was seizing then why would the noise go away when a load is applied to the bearing (pushing in the clutch)? If anything it should make more noise with the clutch pushed in.
