But seriously, its a $26k pure sports car. You're not going to expect ride quality of a Lexus/BMW/Benz. I don't see Lotus owners complaining the car has no cup holders lol, that's because the car has a specific purpose, like this car AND THEN they added daily driving goodies. Trims in Japan come completely stripped!
not quite. it is decent but i think a lot of us got caught up in the marketing hype. cars like the mazda3, gtr and lexus ls series have lower CoD

Well if you want to go lower, the Prius, Honda Insight, and the GM EV1 are one of the best in the world lol (and pretty ugly)

GTR does fit the bill @ .268-.272

a $26k sports car with .27 is pretty good in my book

also here are a list of some CoD http://ecomodder.com/wiki/index.php/...t_of_Drag_List

i dont think that drag should really even be an issue with a sports car at that price but i dont think it costs much to keep it down. this is more expensive than the mazda3 but they had no issues. i bet that has more to do with mpg than any performance motives

True but it also MIGHT cost enough that other companies dont worry about it when they wanna raise their MPG up. It's a, "how much are we going to spend per car on body panels", mentality when it comes to designing. They could shorten something and spend $5 less per car which would calculate to $10000 per 2000 cars saved or vice versa.

Also, idk much about technical details of cars but, I think the way a car is designed its to keep a steady downforce weight and to stabilize the car with turbulence. So the outside is kinda important on how its designed imo. Maybe not for a car with only 200hp, but it was designed to be a blank canvas for everyone, not just an average Joe. Think like: big companies, sponsored racers, and those with deep pockets who can get 800hp into this car and have it all on a balanced out chassis and aerodynamic shell.

downforce adds drag though not the other way around so when you look at the faster cars, you will notice that they generate much more downforce (either by the coefficient or frontal area). cars are usually shaped like aerofoils so they usually generate lift.

i dont think this car is for the big kids. these little cars are for fun. the same reason people here hate on the mustang or vette or the like is because they are designed to work in a certain range of speeds. they feel dull at 40 to feel alive at 150.

yea, i think if u compare it to a lexus or infinity or benz.. its pretty noisy
but if you had a chevy astro, yaris or some little econo box .. it isnt that bad.
im guessing this engine and the insulation between engine compartment and inside of car wasnt too much of a priority or they wanted to keep weight down.

i just turn up the radio ...
