What size of tire do you plan on getting?

I'd be fine fitting x9 wheels and tires 235/40. 255's always seemed like a lot of tire for a brz, 235's were plenty grippy on track on my M3.

I kid, I kid. Here ya go. This is a 17x9+45 with a 255/40/17 Yoko A052. Stock rear camber at -2deg:

I almost pulled the trigger on those Apex wheels today. Decided to hold off and save budget for more important things. Pretty sure those will fit just fine with 245/40's, especially with a tire that's not as wide-per-size as the Yoks or Falkens.
How's the clearance on the inside? So it looks like the rears would ideally want a 17x9 +55 to fit without interference issues under compression?

Id probably go with a 235/40 profile I definitely dont need thick tires like trippinbillies has.

a) What offset options do they have?
b) What size of tires do you plan to run?

They are completely custom 3P forged wheels so I can choose any offset I want, I want to stick with 17's so I can run a thicker tire if I choose to, so probably a 235/40 like I have on my BMW

Current setups on my mind (at stock height)...

17x9 +45 RPF1 on 245/40/17
18x8.5 +44 Dekagram on 235/40/18

Mind you I don't even have the car yet.

Looking forward to seeing some folks posting any wheel on stock height though.

I think 235/40 should fit fine on 17x9 et40 wheels.
My plan so far is to try 245/40 on 17x9 et37 with RLCAs for -2.5º camber, and if that's too wide I can try downsizing to 235/40.

I just ordered some 17X9 +45 to be safe and ill run spacers if they don't sit flush, and ordered some 245/40/17 Pilot Sport AS as well. Hopefully the wheels fit otherwise I'm out $2800 for the wheels and $700 for the tires......

In my limited experience, Michelins of any given spec are typically narrower than most other tires with the same spec.
245/40 Michelins will absolutely be narrower than 255/40 A052's

Could be, but 18x9.5 with 255/35s looked awesome on a Gen 1 with a nice drop.

Here's 18x9 +50 wrapped into 235/40R18:

Looks like they're using a ~10 mm spacer in the front only to get ~40 effective offset:

Source:

Key timestamps: specs at 3:00, close-ups at 0:55 and 1:40; rear brakes (no spacer) at 1:09, front brakes (spacer) at 1:11 and 1:38.

I wish Tire Rack would get a Gen 2 in for measurements and test-fitting so that their interactive wheel and tire guide could be used...
