No the glare are those squares above the cut off line. Its actually the opposite of what is hitting the floor or it wouldn't be a problem.

Look at the difference between picture one on post # 1 (the OP's post) and the 2nd picture on post #7. Notice how that square above the cut off line is gone on post #7, that square is what blinds on coming drivers and people you drive behind. There is no glare coming off that car because he did a retrofit with legit HID projectors.

Because they suck and are dangerous, blinding the oncoming drivers. They might look good from the drivers seat, but everyone coming at you is pissed off.

Compare pic 1 in OPs pic, both of the lights. Does that mean the stock ones blind people as well or no because they are yellow?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that little glare is for lighting up street signs. Stock cars with projectors have these, and they do sometimes give a glaring effect to other drivers but it's tolerable. With PnP sets, the glare is intensified and are very annoying to any onlookers. Non HID Projectors are bad enough, but if you ever see cars with non projector headlights run HID's, you'll have a sudden urge to high beam them.

BTW

Sorry for the thread jack OP

Halogen uses filament, possible to shape light, fixed shape, etc
Xenon uses gas, requires a reflector to shape the light, halogen projector shape is inadequate to shape the xenon gas bulb light discharge

Why is there so much hate for people that drive around with their highbeams on all the time? It's convenient for them, right?

The optics of a halogen projector are different than a xenon projector. However, while ghetto and cheap, it's still not as bad as slapping a xenon drop-in into a reflector housing (curse all older f-150s in my general area).

The good news is you may get towed/impounded rather than just a ticket as cops are getting more and more annoyed as well.

Have people never heard the saying if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all! Ok he was a little mixed up on the fact that it was not a retrofit, and has been corrected on it. If he likes his headlights that's all that matters its his car he can do with it as he pleases. People on this forum need to realize that saying things like "good news is you may get towed" is not helping this forum grow its going to scare people off.

No, it needs to be clear that doing a drop-in is worse than the 90's boys bolting a park bench to their trunk - it's not cool, it's not acceptable - do it if you want but expect to be laughed at.

And unlike the park bench on your trunk or ugly stickers, being pulled over with a retarded kit means your car is not roadworthy and thus you may not be allowed to drive away.

Same as the blue LED lights on the washer nozzles - all fun, until you get a felony ticket for impersonating a police vehicle.

If we can discourage even one person from being a danger to others on the road, then I count that as a win.

Ugh, "HID" kits. Leaky, overwhelming lighting, misaligned, and still not as bright as a car made for HIDs. There is nothing clean and crisp about that.

I'm no master at HIDs but our car is already low and when I lower it even more and fix the squirrel issue other cars on the road should have no issue with my PnP HIDs.
