If you haven't checked them out before, RAM can mount just about anything just about anywhere... http://www.rammount.com/
I'm thinking an adhesive backed ball mount on the passenger side of the center tunnel with a long arm and the X-Grip to mount my Samsung SIII - http://www.rammount.com/Products/Pho...Default.aspx#/. |

Found a good solution (for now).
Pep Boys actually has a pretty good selection of options, they're all pretty cheap, but they had a Bell Automotive dash/vent mount that works well. I stuck the adhesive to the fake carbon fiber on the dash. Seems pretty solid. The included cradle is spring loaded and can barely fit an iphone. I happened to have a cradle with the same mounting tab from my old car and just swapped it out for the Bell one, so I'm only using the Bell mount. |

I like it, worth my purchase at least. It doesn't bounce much, unless you remove that knob at the bottom and don't tighten it. The only thing is sometimes the ball socket joint for the bit holding the phone comes a little loose and won't stay tilted up/left and will droop or something, but that just requires a little re-tightening on the back. it definitely feels solid.

made up a mount for a smartphone in the airvent, works a treat if the steering wheel is on the right, can operate the phone with both hands on the wheel

I have no idea how it would hold a Fujitsu HU, it worked just fine with my 4S, I imagine a 5 would be the same. I've replaced the 4S with a Lumia 1020 though, the phone is huge, but I can still use this mount for it

If you like the pro-clip, but want to save some cash, you can.
Just get the mount for your phone without the car part. Use 3M automotive double sided tape (the red color one) and attach to the radio surround fascia, had several hot days and no problem on staying put. |
