FWIW, I didn't "buy" my wife either. It was more like a long term lease but the termination fees are astronomical!

I was referring to the selection process as well. If I'm spending money I'm going to get closer to exactly what I want than if I'm depending on more fanciful selection criteria.

My first requirement for my car (and a wife, if I'm being honest) is I need to like the way it looks. No it doesn't have to be absolutely perfect but I have to be willing to look at it.

Yo. Is that yo as in YOLO? Or yo-yo? Or... I got a little age on me so I might not be familiar with the current lingo, yo. Anyway, yeah I made that comment about it being well received because that’s how I remember it but as I said, I’ve got some age on me so, maybe I’m wrong. I don’t remember any of my car buds voicing objections to the first twins either, but, that’s just anecdotal. No pardons needed and no worries for “calling me out” for a comment haha. If the worst thing that happens to me today is some dude on the internet “calling me out” for his perception of my opinions or recollections being in error, it’ll be a GREAT day. You know what they say about opinions anyway, yo.
Did I do that right?

In my humble opinion the body design was designed for.......

Gen 1: Lines designed for everyone

Gen 2: Lines designed for people that like the CTR type of style with weird bumps and vents that make slow cars appear fast, which in the world of rocket bunny kits, this design seems to appeal to the youth.

They ruined the look IMO 23 more Crank HP lol and added probably 200lbs. The old taillights are Icons in my eyes should have kept the shape. Don't like the front either looks to much like a Civic

Well apparently they didn’t add much weight, just a few pounds. But on everything else, AGREED.

Indeed, part of the appeal of an inherently less practical sports coupe compared to a far more practical sedan, hatch or SUV, is styling appeal. Whilst there are no doubt a few twins buyers who look at their car as a dispassionate tool, for example a track toy they bought purely on specs where physical styling played no role, for most of us (especially those who want to daily drive our car) we want it to look good to us. When we park it and walk away, we want a car that motivates us to look back at it to admire it.

The PEAK hp went up by 23hp from 2020, 28 hp from 2012. The 2022 torque curve is has a much greater area beneath it, so the improvements to performance are likely better than what the peak comparison will tell you.

The weight went up by only 17lb from 2020, 65lb from 2012.

It's not really great to look at in pictures though. Probably too late for them to revise the sheet metal even if they cared what we had to say about it though.

If that's what Subaru/Toyota had in mind, it makes perfect sense. The youth will be around a lot longer to buy more cars than codgers like myself who might only have one or maybe two cars left in us.
