I can confirm that I checked both the Essex SPRINT and Essex ENDURANCE templates this weekend and they are fine. Sprint has ~1cm of clearance to spokes and endurance has ~4mm of clearance at the spoke to rim transition area.

I must say the more I browse this awesome forum the more I can't wait to get my FR-S.

Looks good.

Is it me or do 17s look a little small?

Can you confirm that you checked against the 17x8 +48 version of the Alleggeritas? (as opposed to the 17x7.5 +45) I'm currently looking at the SPRINT kit ..

From what I've seen on the forum, it looks like certain 17s appear smaller than others. I suspect this has to do with the individual spokes ending before the lip (like the OZs here) as opposed to on the lip.

P.S. I look forward to an 86 in my future as well.

Depends on the tires - the 235/45/17 is quite a bit larger sidewall than stock, but fills the wells a bit more. 225/45/17 is bigger as well. 1/4 inch doesn't sound like much but it's a lot of "area" on a circle.

YES I can confirm that and I am happy to. Sorry for the delayed response I have been overseas for work and missed this.

In addition, here is an imgur album with pics!

I should note that the I am (the little I get to drive the car) a little disappointed with the continental DW's. The grip is great, the release and feel is great, but around town the sidewall is significantly stiffer than stock and kind of overwhelming the stock dampers. I have dropped tire pressures two or three times which helps a bit but I may go a different route for the next round.

Does anyone know if these will clear the Performance Pack Brembos?
