Oversized bores on the alloy FA20 greatly reduces its strenght, unless they sleeve it of course.

Meh, 2nd gen is all still rainbows and unicorns at this stage anyway.

I ferl sorry for all the hard core young fan boys, surviving the Covid-19 apocalypse only the witness the end of the twins, truly a first world nightmare senario.

Plenty of used sports cars in this world. Sure some risk, but lower price too. If they never make new sports car I got plenty on my list to go through.

As already posted, no. The rod to stroke ratio on the FA20 is already kinda on the low side. Without making the engine wider it will shrink it even farther which starts to put a lot of side loads on the piston.

I want to see a mid-engine boxer from Subaru and Toyota. Otherwise, I will buy a Cayman next.

If the supra 2 liter, which already exists, is being delayed I think we can extrapolate the probability of a 2nd gen 86.

I wouldn't be opposed if they could keep the weight down. Some of the early Prius electric motors where capable of 50kw and 400nm of torque.
