Just made the move from Showas to Sachs and it’s slight different feel. I’d say overall I have more grip and the rear feels a little softer on sharp hard cornering. Front end is still nice and stiff. No confidence or balance lost in the cars ability. The car feels like it went from a more 50/50 approach of comfort and handling to a now mild sporty feel 60 sport/ 40 comfort. I did also install STI springs off a Ts model so that may play a roll in my experience on the rear feel.

lets see.. looking at my records I have roughly 30,000 miles and almost 2 years on them. Thats not including the miles the original owner put on it. He said about 2000 miles, but I'm pretty sure that's bullshit.

My two cents regarding label colors on the shocks: they are 5 of the 7 rainbow colors.

Could it be a scale from softer to harder?
Further investigations on Sachs replacement shocks revealed that they use blue label for OEM replacement shocks (Premium Touring) and red label for more stiff versions (Advantage).

Resistors use coloring for impedance so same way they may represent with two numbers the actual Kg of each spring!

According to resistors impedance scale, my MY17-18 ts springs are Fronts 4,6Kg and Rears 3,7Kg

There is no OEM/STI spring that will give a 1 inch drop. The pinks will yield a 10-15mm drop. Matched with a solid set of dampers and the daily compliance will be more than adequate.

Right, TRD is the only "OEM" Spring that will give you a 1" drop.

Thanks, I was leaning towards pro kit anyways. But which dampers are best paired with them? I don’t track, just spirited drives on the weekend.

I want the Showa evolution custom valved damped/spring set but I’d have to order it from Japan. Can bilstein deliver the same performance?

The bilsteins will be more than adequate. Those get my vote, though if you can find a set of slightly used PP dampers those should match well too.
