Right, to me 7200+ is still considered shifting at redline. Example “I'm at the front door, does not mean you are literally standing on top of or in the middle of the doorway. You are standing just before the door.” Hence shifting at redlines is shifting close to the actual redline not literally at exactly 7400.

Semantics would be pointing out that Symantecs is not a word.
There is a big difference between saying "Always shift at REDLINE" and "I shift at 7200 all the time". They are not the same statement.

I'm not talking about driving the car that way on the street though. Feels like the car makes peak torque a little over 5k(my setup). So usually 5500 or so is all the higher I rev it on the street. TC interferes more then enough on the street.

LOL touché, spell check. Its the name of norton antivirus company.

Again where are you physically standing when you are “at the door” you are physically before the door, not on the door.

To me it means something different then to you i guess.

Should make a new thread / vote to see what people think of generally when someone says shifting at redline.
To me shifting at redline is shifting within 200rpm of redline. Because to literally shift at redline you are banging off the factory rev limiter. And people generally specify if they are banging limiter.
Banging stock limiter = shifting at literal redline
Shifting at redline = shifting within 200rpm of the literal redline.
At least that is what i think of.

Unless that's a joke, that's an asshat comment and you know it. You don't have the redline the car every time you drive it to own it.

Redline is redline. Before that is before that. There is no twisting it around with mind games.

I repeat.
Mine has hit REDLINE maybe 10 times.
It has hit 7200 thousands (if not millions) of times.

Maybe you should get your wife (I doubt there is one) to explain the definition of words to you since she obviously has your brain in her purse.

Traction control? Never used it unless it was by mistake forgetting to turn it off.

You have to if you love it though. It wants to be revved out. Its begging for it. In fact as soon I turn the car on for the first time everyday when its cold it even tries to rev out on its own before it realizes it can’t without me. thats how badly it wants you to rev it out.

Honestly I am not bothered by it. The only thing about it I found offensive was the lack of imagination by suggesting a Prius.

Civic, Nash Metropolitan, Reliant Robin, Renault 2CV. Those would have been more acceptable choices

To me, loving it is taking it to the track

For others, it could be enjoying a nice back road cruise.

Oh I don't disagree. I love revving out the motor. But I don't feel it's necessary to redline it to merge or feel I'm obligated to every commute I take. Hell, I don't even have to redline it to pass all of the slow jackasses in the left lane.

If I want it off, I want it all the way off. And I am not sitting there waiting for it to warm up enough to pedal dance it. Haven't installed my Trac Box yet No waiting on temps when that thing goes in.

I’ve banged limiter maybe 20 times. Its not fun with a hard cut.
I’ve shifted 7200-7450rpm thousands of times as well. (My limiter 7500rpm)

Ok, Next time Im waiting “at the car” for it to be unlocked. I’ll call my friend and say “hey I'm “at the car” come unlock it” I will mean i am literally standing on top of the car not waiting outside next to it.
