Does 18x8.5 +45 fit on stock suspension? Wheel it fit says I have 1mm of suspension clearance and I feel like that might not be enough lol

ok, thx, yes its overfender setup. cant believe theres people on 18x10.5 stockbody honestly, thats mental aggressive. i suppose id like the 275/35 series because its a touch more than 10mm taller than the 285/30 series. that added sidewall should make an already rough ride an ounce nicer. plus theres more tires to choose from in 275/35/18. thanks for the help, i remember you helped me before too. hoping to keep -2* all around

im on 18x8+45 and it was fine on eo susp. Your wheel is a touch taller and you will have a shorter tire, but not any closer to the suspension, so i think ull be good. i use wheel-it-fit a ton, but real world is always different than it is on paper.

Nope. A 18x8.5 +45 is 6.3mm closer to the spring perch than a 18x8 +45. Offset is measured from the middle of the wheel.

me too. in that case, what do you think about my proposed plan to be rallybacker v2 (+50mm front/+75mm rear) on 18x11-6 5x100 with 275/35? 50mm wheel spacers rear. coils,-2*, gentleman's ride height.

If my calculations are correct, you only need a 20 mm spacer in the rear.

Most guys run a 18x9.5 or 18x10 in the front. Because of the geometry of the center of the wheel compared to the width. Anyway, I think it will steer really weird if you do an 11" wheel in the front with a -6 offset. I don't have experience with this though... Just the math. So, maybe a 18x9.5 -25 wheel.


This guy suggests 18x9.5 -15 front and 18x11 -20 rear with -3 camber front and rear. I added 10mm to his calculations for fenders that are 10mm less. (makes sense to me!)

My aggressive calculations are only about 10mm more of poke from what he suggests. I think that if you want less aggressive camber, you should go with less poke.

I dont know why I didn't think of it like that. If the rear is exactly 25mm wider, then I will need a 25mm spacer to have the exact fitment as the fronts. Why am i so weirded out by staggered setups, should i be?

Yes it will fit stock suspension and it will poke a bit in the front the rears shouldn't be an issue. It will be close fit up front the tire sizes that will work are 245/35 or 235/40. I suggest getting coilovers otherwise it will look like a 4x4. Also, you can definitely add a 3mm spacer up front if its too close to the stock spring perches.
