It is noticeable at that height. I would not say it is required. I do not have the kit on my car, but we experimented with it on our last shop car (which ran a bit lower most of the time).

If I wasn't going to be running 15 inch wheels in winter and for rally-x, I would probably get it for my car (the kit won't fit with small wheels).

How do you guys measure drop? To this day I don't think I've ever seen a clear number on stock ride height, so I've kind of been estimating. Right now I measure 13" from hub center to fender. I'm still not sure how much lower than is from stock?

Good question. Roughly 14.5 inches hub center to fender is stock, rear can be a tiny bit higher. There are more variables then most think for "stock" height. We measured it a million times on a bunch of cars when developing the Yellows way back in the day (almost 8 years ago holy crap). It's not always the same.

Since we've been focusing on coilovers more since then, we mostly set target ride heights rather than speaking in relation to stock. I know what 13 inches and 13.5 inches hub center to fender looks like and what it can mean for ride/handling, as well as different rakes.

I have been looking at "stock" height more as we've been developing the rally cross springs, and 14.5 inches is what I've settled on.
