When you dyno your parts, please do a baseline run the day/week of the testing or ATLEAST don't compare the new dyno with old weak dyno numbers.

150-155 is not standard for a broken in motor. 160-170 is more the ball park.
Here is my thoughts.

We ran a base on our car at I think 400 miles. 150/155whp on our in house mustang dyno. Our car again has put 155whp down stock. Its some where around 850 miles on the clocks now. 155whp base was again found today. Then the car was run. And I posted what was the result.

I think motors are going to loosen up, Gas might be better in other areas as well. And then you have Dynojet. When I see 160-170 numbers, Its almost always from a Dynojet. Now I am not knocking a Dynojet. What I do want to make clear is you can not compare a Mustang to a Dynojet. Sure you can look at the curves between the two dynos. But never the numbers. Dyno's are tools they all read differently.

Arizona gas is just as bad as California gas, We used our in house Mustang dyno. Same dyno based the same car at 155whp. And the weather has not changed here 105* -112* for the last 30 days. We did all this in the same day. Even made sure the tire pressure was correct.

While I am not accusing anyone of out-and-out dishonesty in this regard, these numbers are definitely on the high side when it comes to power. I, too, would love to see the breakdown per exhaust bit, as well as the underbody design and pieces, uninstalled.

Have they been developing a fully (high flow) catted system, as well?

To be honest, You guys asked for numbers I posted. You ask for a vid, I posted. I'll work on a break down as I knew that was being done as well. I was only able to get out there for a bit while all this was going down. Catted I will ask them in the morning.. I know that is a issue for some. I am also from California.

But everyone here should understand that these motors respond very well to some key parts. If you spend the time and do your homework. You can find power. AP has done this. Jason the his crew have done a outstanding job putting this all together. This was not his 1st system ever made. AP makes systems for lots of cars. Ferrari, MB, BMW and so on. When you see the time and work put into this system and I mean work. Build, dyno test, redesign,dyno/street test, make adjustments, dyno/street test. Lots of time and work has been put into this system. Its not like what you see on T.V. Build the car in a hour. This system I think was revised 5 times I think .. (Its late)

The systems are going to get out in the public. The "truth" will come out then right? So why risk anything?

Thanks, that is how baseline's should be done. Head-to-head where the only variable that is changing is the performance part in question (not break-in mileage, temperature, dyno location, fuel etc.

Since you did a baseline right before testing the exhaust system, your 40 whp claim is believable.

I agree, and it is much appreciated!

I'm just curious as to where the gains are mostly coming from, or if it is across the board. I can understand not wanting to give away secrets, but there are many other professional companies who have also 'done their homework' and aren't seeing the same numbers, so my curiosity bump is twitching.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of burnt tips, anyway, so I'm not too enthralled with the system as it is, but I haven't completely decided which way I am going, yet.

If you can and if you all have the time do a part at a time, interested in seeing where the majority of the gains are coming from.

The system sounds dam good as well.

Hey man! I appreciate all the help you've been on this thread. But i did have one question for you...

If you were to determine which part made the biggest gains, which part would that be? header? cat less? etc?

thanks again!

Stock i made 161 on a dynojet so + 8 hp on exhaust should be around 169 + 18 hp conservative gains from a header = 187whp. Plus i think that car has a test pipe installed since it is very loud so extra hp there.

I am not doubting vivids claims since i know that high compression engines react very good to I/H/E i know that s2k's can gain up to 25 hp just from headers.
Sorry man, S2K's will never see 25whp from a header. They usually lose hp over the stock one. F20's-F22's bairly see 25whp with full exhuast, intake and tune.
