check goodwill/thrift stores. half my collection has come from stores like that. the other half is the more obscure stuff i had to resort to ebay, but most sellers there know what they've got...

Also, proper speakers are still big. No replacement for displacement, you know?

in-wall is tough to find quality, but is a great option for your desires.

Or, get beautiful stuff...

my garage's in-wall jensen 3/p2's would have something to show you then... they're only in-wall because the builder cheaped out on the garage and did 24" centers. if they didn't fit, they'd be mounted on the wall.

but there is nothing that compares to old analog receivers.

I just went to NASIOC to see if anything interesting came up. I cannot believe the cesspool of ignorance and stupidity it has turned into. It has become a barren wasteland.

facebook has had a massively negative effect on forums. forums were originally about a sort of digital community. the way facebook is set up has changed that to make anything on the internet a resource/commodity to be used and forgotten about.

hard to have any respect for anyone when "all i want to kno is if i kan fit 17x10 +10 on my brz-pp"

So, today is apparently National Drink Beer day. Fine. I can get behind any excuse to enjoy a good beer, even stupid made up holidays (especially since I'm pretty sure there's at least a dozen of these dedicated to beer), but then I looked up the calendar for these made up holidays. Today is also like 7 other "National X" days. I scrolled through a few other days and it seems this is pretty common. Every day has multiple made up holidays. I thought it was just harmless silliness before, but now that I know this, it's just plain old silliness.

(Still gonna have a beer today, though)
