Hey guys, sorry for reviving old thread. I have exactly the same symptoms. Tried a different (new) battery, jump start and it wont even try to crank.
Car is '13 BRZ Limited, 45k (5k on mew engine). Any ideas? |

New engine? Check how tight the ground strap is to the bell housing.

Update: car now at dealership who installed new engine. they "jumped" the starter and the car started right up. They suspect an issue with the key fob and immobilizer system.

"Final" Update: they check techstream and found no issues at all. After jumping the starter the car continued to start flawlessly on it's own.
I have changed the battery on the key fob but it seems it was working OK. I hate self-fixing issues as I now fear it will happen again at the most inconvenient time & place ![]() |
