Is there a waiting list started for this kit?

1. Baker
2. Boarder1995 (Tim)
3.

Of course this is unofficial as I'm sure there were numerous others already mentioning they were "in line" to purchase.

So how much have you, Don@Accelerated, spent so far, time and money wise on building this?

Lifeless? The car is pretty peppy down low in stock form (below the dip) and in that dyno both torque and HP numbers are above stock levels as of 3-3.5k and that's right where I am during daily driving.

Maybe Don can update the initial post with all the information about it when he gets some sleep and a beer. :happy0180:

Don, i know it may be very early in the process to tell, but i figure you have past experiences also.

What kind of fuel economy changes can you expect from going FI?

the dark lines are actual and the faded lines are baseline...the faded lines are higher than the darker lines below 5500RPM...

Whaa? There are two runs. The blue run and the red run. Look at the legend in the top-left corner. You're getting stuff mixed-up.

First post here.

Just gotta say congrats to you guys for working on this kit, and making it require minimal modification of the car itself. I do however have a few questions since its been forever since I have built an FI car (had a 98 Supra...in '99) so I feel a little ignorant and probably backwards as far as some of the things that were common place back then.

With a turbo setup like this with the electric oil pump is a turbo timer recommended to prolong the turbo life or is it not necessary?

Would this setup benefit from a lightened flywheel/clutch pack? I notice that if you rev the car hard that it over revs when you let off the throttle and was wondering if thats a byproduct of the electronics controlling the throttle or if the flywheel/clutch are the culprits...basically since this turbo kit produces power to redline it runs a greater risk of over revving into the rev limiter if you decide to shift at redline versus shifting earlier (stock power output declines before 7k rpm) if it is the flywheel/clutch.

Once you have figure out the boost/power maximums on the stock engine with all parts stock, will you please do a test with this setup with a full aftermarket exhaust, just so those of us who will be running such a setup have an idea of how much of a gain we can get without cats and with less restrictive pipes we can get? At least before you guys go full bore and build the monster we all want to see

I'm sorry if i come off as out of touch, but in reality I am. This is the first car I've owned in 12 years...during my drought I've owned 3 trucks and my main hobby has been my motorcycles...I just bought a 2012 Aprilia RSV4-R and getting that ready for track duty has been my focus, now its the FR-S's turn

I calculate a 32.43% rear power increase at current....

At fly if in preportion
200*1.3243 = 264.86hp

Not sure of drivtrain calcs.

13.0925 per PSI
6 PSI*13.0925 = 240.05WHP
6 PSI at fly estimate 297HP
That would be a fun set up and is right around the same power/psi and weight that I had in my RWD Impreza L. Had an EJ20 swap and was just running a low boost VF39 for fun in it. Made 220 at 8 psi on our Mustang (stock STi's put down 205-210). It was an absolute blast to drive around!

Don and Visconit, I look forward to seeing results when solutions come up from ecutek for whatever the issue is.

No worries. Your original post actually scared me a bit because I hadn't seen what you were talking about in the dyno plots. Had to go back and make sure I wasn't crazy.
