I can't blame you for being happy with those wheels, they go really well with your FRS. Thanks for the pics!

Thank you for the pics and recommendation. I starting to lean towards dark gray-like color instead of black on Halo. I just feel like black might be too much of a contrast against Halo.

Check on your local used ads. It's a good way to find good deals on wheels. You can play with different looks and take little to no financial hit if you sell them later.

I went to pick up a set of OZ ultraleggera's and the guy listed with the wrong offset. Because I drove two hours to pick them up, then an hour back after turning around halfway home; I ended up buying a set of JDM wheels he had laying around that looked like super leggera's and bought them on the spot.

It took me a day of research to figure out what I'd actually bought. Super JDM
I've thought about looking into used wheels, but I am nowhere near experienced enough with purchasing used car parts to know if I'm being scammed or not. Some person can tell me that he used a set of wheels for 5K miles and I probably would not be able to tell if he really did or if it was 50K miles.

The savings on used items are pretty tempting, I'm just afraid of being scammed out of easy $$$

Thank you for the idea though.

My Car vs Stock. 18 X 8 TSW Interlagos (+45) with 225/40/R18, Michelin Pilot Super Sports on STI lowering springs. Gives you an idea of what it might look like vs stock. If you do go larger rims try and get lighter than stock. IMO, I think lowering springs or coilovers make it sit just right. I don't find the ride too harsh either. Best of luck.

In reality it doesn't matter if wheels were used 5 miles or 500,000 miles. The conditions in which they were used, how well they were taken care of and if they were damaged by an external source are all much more important than distance. The nice part about wheels is that ones that have been beat on usually show it very clearly in the form of abrasions, pit marks, worn or touched up paint bends and small cracks. Don't need to be an expert to see any of those things.

Yep, like ol @Tcoat says, what you see is what you get.

I would be more concerned about whether or not the wheels would fit your car (are they what the seller says they are).

The springs lower it by about 15mm, I think 20mm would be better, but wanted to stick to OEM+ parts for the springs. I was lucky enough to get them for $700 fitted. I got an email from Subaru when they had a sale on and jumped on them at that price, they’re normally around $1150. I can notice the difference, it closes the gap a bit, but I guess a bit more would be nicer.

I was considering some wheels like those when I was looking for a track set. Couldn't make myself like the 2 tone finish though.
Also expected you to have some multi-colour neon wheels.

My internet persona does not reflect my real life image. It merely compliments it.

Of course! How silly of me.

BTW OP; once you start looking at all the different wheels with changes in width and offset you're going to want this link:
https://www.ft86motorsports.com/wheelitfit/

I'm honestly surprised we got to page 4 without it!
