Mine's a lease so it'll stay stock. If I keep it out of the lease I might try and mod it, but I probably won't go crazy as I've never modded a car before.

...not that there is anything wrong with modifications...just curious who else plans (besides me) to keep it OEM.

I'm thinking of tinting the windows and adding a center armrest when one becomes available.
Maybe add a 3 foot tall aluminum spoiler on back, maybe not.

I considered that, but I have two issues with it. One, I have never heard how it sounds myself so there's no way to know how good it really sounds. Amd two, it's insanely expensive. For the price that it costs I could get a MUCH better sound system. Also I was going to reuse most of the components from my old car. Quit trying to take my monies!!!

Nope, not keeping it stock, though the changes won't be major, exterior just adding fog lights at some point, I like the factory wheels so will keep them, ultimately gutting the entire factory stereo since it's crap and probably an ECU, intake and exhaust on the performance side of things.

Apparently a few of you people don't understand what leaving a car stock means.

This reminds me of the second Cars movie when they go to Tokyo.

The loser of the drift competition hangs his head in shame as he is subject to the worst possible humiliation...His car is returned back to stock!!

I love the way they yell out "MODIFICATION"! with Japanese accents.

I don't plan any major mods. Need winter wheels/tires but that's about it.

I have sunk way too much money into hobbles in the past (got $30-$40 K worth of restored pinball machines in the basement).

It's funny how some of you guys see a supercharger as a minor modification, with comments like "Yeah I'll keep it stock, just add a supercharger" or "nothing major, just a supercharger". I guess it's because I've never modded a car before other than very small things!

I think at some point when the warranty is over I would consider boosting the engine but I see it as a major mod considering it will cost around $5K which is 1/6th the cost of the car, not to mention if my insurance company ever found out I would be cut from my policy.

+1 if it is not needed as my daily driver at that point.

In the grand scheme of things an SC is pretty minor. It's a small bolt-on that generally adds only a little boost and won't radically change the character of the engine.

Additionally, Toyota/TRD has a history of offering an OEM SC as an option - they did so on the tC (even if the execution was somewhat subpar) and they continue to do so on the Tacoma. The TRD superchargers, when added by the dealer, do not void your warranty.

Major mods are things like engine swaps and the like.

I would say I'd be keeping it stock. But in the end, I know that won't happen. I love the car and all of it's original equipment, save for the exhaust, the sound system, and the lack of padding in the footwells.

Those items will most likely be the only things changed for quite a while. I hope the model continues on long enough for me to buy another one (manual at that point), though it will probably see the same comfort mods.....and then my current might see a SC or TC depending on where I'm at as well as the aftermarket.

Granted. I'll still keep all the factory parts around just in case I ever get the itch to go back to stock.
