Antenna delete

So just got my car back from wraping/tinting and here are the first pic... Sorry for the bad lighting but just had my phone with me.
So the guy at the shop wasnt a big fan of the plug but said it could work over time maybe and the foil could stick better over time. But Im really happy right now and will get some better pics tomorrow.

Yeah that doesn't look like it stuck on the edges well. Did you paint it first? I tested some vinyl on an unpainted bumper vs my painted fender and there was a massive adhesion difference.

Yes painted it black with a spray can. Well he said a couple days in the sun might be able to fix it... If not im just gonna cut it and on the edges of the plug so there are no air pockets

How smooth was the painted surface? It might be too tight of a corner too. I didn't get the chance to play with my vinyl so I couldn't tell you for sure. Cutting around it seems wise

Was pretty smooth nowhere near as the roof but it was flat. Will ty to let it settle for a couple days in the sun and get it tighter before cutting, if that's still necessary afterward

Clear silicone caulk. Just "glued"it to the roof. Took a piece of paper with a big glob and stuck it on the bottom to be sure it was sealed. Be careful not to get too much on the lip cuz it'll squish out when you press it to the roof. Wipe of any extra right away so it looks nice

Thanks again for the model file. Did you remove the roof liner to get access from underneath?

Iirc I pulled down the back to get a wrench in for the antenna. Be careful not to crease it.
