Different type of recall woes (Honda)

Looking through the email I get from the NHTSA on recalls today.

It looks like my son's Accord (a 2003) and my in-law's Accord (2004) and CRV (2007) are being recalled again for airbags. This is either the 4th or 5th time for my son's car and it only has two airbags.....

And this one could actually kill you, rather than just leave you stranded if a valve spring breaks...

You can put the number in at this site to get details if you own one listed....

Oh... That's a lot of work. There was the Weld spoiler that cost like $1500 for a while there, but now there's a couple of clones out in the ~$500 range. I might get one, but I'm not sure.

My sister plants are pumping out airbags to replace the Takata ones as fast as they can. I believe it is still another year before they get caught up. Looks like they were just replacing them with whatever they had on hand for a while.

"STILL AVAILABLE?"

I told them that while the bike is still technically available, someone else has dibs, but they're next in line. They replied:

"THANKS BY THE WAY-WHO MAKES THIS BIKE?"

I know I should expect dumb questions like this, but the make of this bike is literally right in the title of the ad, which means it is also in the subject line of the email that HE sent ME... I just said "A company called Buell makes this bike" and sent a link to the wikipedia article about the bike.
Well, first guy didn't show up. Got to the agreed meeting place, waited for like 10-15 and texted the dude and got no response. Waited for a total a half hour, called the guy, got no answer, then left. Got a text like 2 hours later saying "sorry, should have told you but I'm in NJ for family issues. we'll have to reschedule". So, I sent a follow up to Comic Sans guy as he's now first in line.

Gotta love Craigslist...

Bolted my battery box to the floor. Decided to be creative and use a seat belt as the lid closure. It is bolted to the floor and further holds the battery box down. Wired the battery isolator, battery shunt / monitor, fuse block, and upper lights. I think my fridge arrives today!!!!

Gotta love Craigslist...
My one and only Craigslist adventure was selling a 100 gallon aquarium we had lizards in.
The ad was very clear in stating "Chip in corner. Only good for dry terrarium use. Pick up ONLY will not deliver"
Must have had a 100 calls asking "is it full of water?" or "are pumps included?"
First guy that wanted to buy it showed up on a bicycle.
Next guy agreed to the price of $50 and then showed up with only $20 and said he would give us the rest later.
Third was a little old lady that thought I could carry it upstairs by myself, put it in the trunk of her Buick then follow her to her house and unload it for her.
Fourth thought there were "fish included".
Fifth finally showed up with cash, two buddies and a pickup truck so took it away.

Told the wife "never again" since I now had about 10 hours invested in selling something for $50. I could have taken a hammer to it, thrown it in the trash and came out ahead!

That's all funny, but it's nothing like our CL experiences. Perhaps it's because CL started in this area? I just rented out our house. Maybe 12 replies. 4 scheduled visits over 2 days. 2 did background checks. 1 chosen. No cost other than gas and time. Well, I'll reimburse the unchosen couple for their background checks.

Or maybe I'm counting chickens before they've hatched? Lease signing is scheduled for this evening.

Worse part is I feel super bad for the couple who aren't getting the house. They're fine people, but the other party is just better on a financial basis.
