Shit, looking at the news about the earthquakes California is getting. Am I gonna need to rent a boat instead of a car?

PS, hope anyone in that area is alright. I don't think any of the RT folks are there.

Forget the boat, just need a sturdy desk that you can hide under.

At resale, I bet the AP will sell faster and for more money. I don't see a problem with RR. I just don't see them as the best option.

1900 + 140 for track pads

I read a post about the math with these pads... that track dogs really appreciate the overall running costs of the essex series.

Wish I would have went AP. I have a stoptech setup. I got it for a steal but the friction rings and pads are so much more then the AP’s the savings was almost erased after a set of pads and friction rings.

Always thought these would be cool, maybe your first fab project?

Today I played with trim. Measuring it, cutting it, re-cutting it, measuring again. The windows, the celing, I added trim to trim... lol. I ripped some trim with my new dewalt table saw and made corner trim by cutting it a bunch of times. I then sanded it. Well, I sanded everything, so alot of sanding... I also tried to reuse as much of the oak trim from the van.

It's coming along...

I thought it was supposed to be measure twice, cut once. I don't mean to tell you how to build your van or anything. Just wondering.

Yes, it's supposed to be. But, I have never built a van before, and it's not really square like many of the newer vans that people build out. (transit, sprinter, promaster) A few parts were challenging for me.

It's a good project to learn on. I'm having alot of fun too!

I did look long and hard at how i could do that when it was first revealed. I don't know how i could do it without adding about 500 pounds to the lid, and losing all the space underneath the lid as well.

There's also the time issue. It's taken me over 6 years now to get somewhere on my custom reverse light, and that's a relatively small project compared to the engineering feat this would take!
