I have thought about swapping it out with a cheap not electric one, but I use the garage opener so I’ll deal with it for now

on concrete roads with PS4S, I cant have a convo on Bluetooth unless I'm going <70. Not "It's difficult", at speed its physically impossible for the other person to hear me or for me to understand them. radio has to be blasting to hear music. my 8hr work trip was... exhausting. I swear my head was buzzing by the end. my crapbox impreza wagon was quieter. and that thing was rattling itself apart.

I'm gonna be adding 50lbs of MLV and sound deadening tiles to try to cut down on it. Makes me sad to make the car heavier but it needs it.

the sound deadening is similar to any economy car. But what always makes me laugh is the insanely lack of it on the roof. When it rains it literally sounds like a tin can

Deliberate. I rejoice when I hear it. Goes hand in hand with the light windshield and trunk instead of a hatch. Low center of mass.

And it evokes childhood memories of sitting in the cockpit of my mom's Piper Cub waiting for the rainstorm to pass over us.

I spent 11 hours in the car yesterday--first road trip. Combination Interstate, State Highways, and some curvy country back roads. Since the car is in it's break-in period, my speeds rarely reached over 75 and varied a lot.

I found the cabin noise certainly tolerable, the stereo more than adequate cover. My daughter and I had no problem conversing normally. The only time it was really an issue was in a construction zone where the pavement had been grooved, and the back seemed to resonate.

I may also just be used to less-than-quiet cars...

I'm not claiming it is quiet, but perhaps not as bad as I was fearing based on reading about the cabin noise before my purchase.

Don't believe a lot of the stuff you read hear if it seems very heavily opinionated or can't easily be backed up by numbers. Something like sound is something you gotta find out on your own..

I just bought an exhaust that everyone seems to think is really loud, at normal driving speeds/pace, the thing is damn near silent (which is what I wanted).

Borla catback, not axleback like yours, but the sound is very similar, just a little bit louder.

It's was really the only exhaust I'd buy because that sound from the take off is just great. Zero drone too.

Funny, that’s what I’m thinking about next. I hope to hear it in person

Does the muffler hang as low as it looks like in pics?

100% you lose some clearance under the centre part because of the different placement. No issues yet though and I daily through some garbage stuff..

Time and place when you wanna hear her
