Heh, I just ordered a set of B6 for the Forester. Stock springs, though.

Yes, you will feel the road more and the imperfections and bumps, but its really not that bad. The only other spring i can suggest is the new USDM STI springs, but STI never releases their spring rates for some reason.

Do you have any experience with STI springs? Really considering them now. How would they compare the Eibach Pros? I’m like OP just looking to lower my car and give it some better handling. Don’t really care about stiffness. Any advice from anyone would be much appreciated

While some race cars have lower ride heights, they also run much higher spring rates and/or use geometry correction pieces to avoid dynamic camber and roll center issues. We also include replacement shorter bumpstops.

4. Yes. You'll get good ride and handling as long as your shocks are in good shape. They're not the hardcore track set up of a good set of coilovers, but they are designed to be a functional upgrade to your suspension beyond just looks!

5. Don't powder coat them and don't strip the existing paint. I'm not sure how a new coat would hold up but you can't see them too much anyway!

6. Now the bad news, we're out of stock and have to wait 2 months for the next production run. Check around to see if any dealers still have a set or we can get your info and save you a set. Or...RCE SS1 coilovers.

Out of stock?? dang I’m sad now, how much do the RCE SS1 coils run for?
Also I saw you guys talking about the 15+ shock being a lot better does this mean that my car should be able to handle these springs much better then the 13&14’s? Which hopefully results in them lasting longer. I’m really trying to purchase coils or springs by this week so I gotta find them soon.

The SS1s are on our site for I think $1375 at the moment. Please call to check availability, they should be coming in more regularly now but I'm recovering from knee surgery today so I'm not sure on that at the moment.

RCE Yellows do ride a little smoother on the 15+ shocks. Longevity is pretty similar.

Unfortunately i do not. I was pretty set on getting the JDM STI Pink springs, but then i saw the Showa shock/spring which seemed like a great option since these cars came with Showa shocks originally. These seemed like pretty safe options since they only lowered the car 15mm and are pretty much OEM like products. But then i started thinking i dont know anyone that own these products and idk how support would be and didnt like feel dealing with people in Japan for help if i needed it. So then finally i settled on RCE Yellows and they are located in Maryland and Andrew is always helping out suspension stuff and all their products are well regarded. I think you would be happy with the RCE yellows as well they are fantastic they will give you the OEM+ upgrade. I didnt feel the ride was harsh it was definitely improved they lower the car 20mm, but once it settles it closer to 1". Now im just waiting for my stock shocks to blow so i can upgrade to Bilstein B6.

Hey thanks. RCE Yellows are definitely high up on my list. Also considering H&R and of course the Eibach Pros. The STI springs kinda got my attention, but the others are a bit cheaper and I've heard lots of good things about them. It's exactly what I'm looking for too. Lower about an inch and improve handling while not sacrificing comfort.

The JDM STI ones or the USDM ones? The only problem with STI springs is they dont release spring rates so its hard to judge how they would perform with the stock dampers. But im sure they'll be fine since its OEM stuff.

USDM Yeah that’s kinda what’s throwing me off a bit. And everyone has their own opinion as to what’s comfortable and what’s stiff. Wanted to get something different but I might just go with something like the RCEs.

I would say go for it you wont regret the RCE Yellows. For DD these definitely fit the bill you cant go wrong with these and the fact that they have such positive reviews its honestly overwhelming lol. You will definitely feel the performance and with the 20mm drop you'll hardly scrape anywhere which is plus.

I'm having a similar issue. I'm about to get RPF1'S 17×9 +35 and not sure if I should go with the Eibach pro kit or RCE yellow. I have a 2018 86 that I bought new in March. So my stock suspensions are pretty new. I just don't want a bouncy ride and roads kinds sucks where I like.

I'm not looking to track race the car since we don't have racing tracks in here but we do have a drift track that I'm considering going to every now and then. This is my DD car.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, off topic.

Keep your stock wheels for drifting. I don't think you would have much fun with (I'm assuming) standard engine and 9 inch rubber.

I was thinking about keeping the stock wheels to when I go and drift. But will be using the RPF1's most of the time for my DD. Just want to know which of these 2 lowering springs will give me a better ride quality for my needs.
