I am not a dog guy. Almost every dog I have ever been exposed to was as dumb as a stump.
However, my parents had one of the smartest and most able dogs there ever was. The mother was half German Shepard and half Border Collie. As best as we could figure the father was probably a coyote. Damn that thing was smart! Also lived to be 18 which I understand is pretty rare.

Every dog I've ever had was a rescue, so yea, a mutt. I would agree. My brothers purebred Golden had major hip problems, and my parents purebred Rottweiler had to be put down way too young with problems. Purebred dogs are often too inbred.

Just took the BRZ out for the first time since November. Pretty sure I’ve said this before, but even though the WRX is faster in every measurable way, has more amenities (like torque), is easier to live with, and more forgiving of bad driving, if I could only keep on car, it would be the BRZ. Never want to stop driving the thing every time I get in it.

Or best segue ever.
Not the poodles I've met. I'm not looking for a large one, just a mini. 15 pound range. We had a cockapoo when I was a kid. She was a reasonably good job and didn't make a mess. Our cat is named Cyclops. She's a stone cold killer. Also she whines for food a lot.

I keep considering summer tires, but it's currently 34 degrees, and I'm 3 hours into a drive-to-nowhere

Welp, the sun is shining and the roads are dry, time for a drive in the countryside.
First, we will stop and have lunch at this little Italian restaurant that mrs humfrz likes (she ain't much on my bacon and egg places). Then we will head down country to find some twisty roads. Why down country? Because the law won't venture that far back in the woods to give me a ticket. Now, I ain't sayen them folks down there are inbred, just because all of their DNAs are the same, but - ![]() Now, iffen I don't check back in this evening, it's most likely because my FR-S spun a bearing or a valve spring snapped and the engine ate a valve. Later - hopefully - ![]() humfrz |

If you come down my way, you'll get lots of compliments on your purty mouth.
