So I would utilize small to medium size equal length primaries (4 into 1 with possibly one step to increase velocity to the snail) with a proper merge collector, and then mount the turbo 4 to 6 inches after the collector on the flange, looks like you will be running an oil pump also.
merge collector is done, its properly done, even used the cnc to cut it. the primaries are 1.5" sch10 stainless steampipe as per diameter of exhaust ports. Location of turbo will be high enough above the sump so it will not need a scavenger oil pump. Turbo now will be a GTX28RS with a .64 tial vband housing. I think it suits my specs pretty well.

this is just a pic i took holding the turbo in the location that it will sit in, obviously it will be lower and more centered to the car but you get the idea.

Front mount, interesting. How is the clearance between the hood insulator and the position on the turbo? where are you getting oil from?

clearance is about 25mm from the comp housing and about 40mm from the exh housing. Oil is coming from a T peice installed between block and pressure sensor..

Heh...
Well, I recommended a foreign ECU because I had reasons to believe its better than Motec, VIPEC, AEM , HKS fcon etc etc... I did my research and went with Syvecs and it was a fantastic piece.

The best thing was Ryan G (2bartuning) was down in Australia and he ended up fitting and tuning it to my car.

Have not seen anyone like him before in terms of tuning a car the way he does in couple of hours from scratch.

sorry to hijack the thread for a min OP.

Thats all changing. We are Syvecs agents in Australia, can offer support, and use their S8R35GTR ECU on all of our motorsport application GTRs. Would love to see their work in an 86....and I've already suggested it to both Charlie and Ryan

Back to the turbo kit, although we are taking a hardcore NA approach to the engineering on these things (like the Hachi of old) we will enjoy to see what the boosted companies bring to the table!
