to make a feeble attempt to put this thread back on track (can we fix it!? no it's...), here's a shot of my mesh divider. similar concept as the other dividers that go across from side to side, it just leaves the middle open for duffel bags and the like.

For over 100 hundred years people have managed to find ways to prevent things from rolling around in their trunk. I doubt many had to resort to asking others about how to go about it. And I am stealing your link as my new letter head for work!

A Rubbermaid box, does not slide around too much, and you can stick it in the back seat if you need more trunk space.

Velcro heavy-duty industrial strength. Strong stuff. The "hook" side might be enough to grab the standard trunk carpeting.

Preventing things from rolling around in the trunk would be trivial if the car had a hook or two on the sides of the trunk to attach a bungee cord to. I'm sure I could come up with something on my own, but that's not why I created this thread. I was interested in seeing what "clever" ideas others had come up with since most of the time other people come up with ways of going about something that are much simpler and more functional than the shit I think up.

If you don't want your beer bottles rolling around in the trunk, buy enough to wedge them in firmly and securely. I don't know why this isn't self eiident..... hell I knew this even before I went to college.

I literally have nothing in my trunk.
I have a jump starter behind one seat. I have a small bag behind the other seat (oil, ice scraper, etc) I always keep my seats folded down. |

Rubbermaid box and grip fabric underneath.
A couple smaller bits of grip to keep other stuff from sliding. Works OK.
