Better yet, don't even sub vocalize it.

Better than most. Even some other analysts I know have a generic password they use for sites without any sensitive data that they don't care about. Although you do kind of have mod access here, so might want to take that into account.

I sold my 2013 at close to 50k miles, it had a 4th gear grind from probably all the track events I was doing.

The next owner had the transmission replaced under warranty without issues at a friendly dealership.

Next time you get a car like this new, find a better dealer to work with.

Meh, it doesn't matter anyway since the Chinese are seeing everything we are doing thanks to them building all our electronics.

This is my only important account. I have zero banking info since my wife does all that (I don't even know how much I make a year) and if anybody wants to hack my Facebook they are welcome to it since people would just be surprised I visited it in the last two years. Work makes me change my password about every 30 seconds so even I don't know it half the time.

+1 defects happen, this sounds like a shitty dealership story, not a shitty car story.

There are so many more nightmarish experiences, people with holes in their engine blocks getting jerked around, early DI seal failure, AVCS issues, not having the car for months on end, etc.

When mine goes it's off to the junkyard, ebay, or someone selling theirs local, $600 and a grimy afternoon and back on the road. Transmission may not be bulletproof in this thing, but when it works well it's very good, and imho mine feels better at 73k than it did at 7.3k

Edit: And I beat the shit out of it

I will reserve all judgement on the dealer since we have only heard one side of the story. Their version of events could be radically different but we will never know.

As far as the comment of how load the car is I find it hilarious that you can hear the driver breathing while he is accelerating. Ohhh hearing damage must be the result.

I am with the dealer in saying there is no problem with that shifter.
That’s not my car, I said I just grabbed five random links and posted them. I have not seen the video, just showing the point that it’s not hard to find anything on it. I have 25 hours of recordings on my phone of specacular gear grinding if you want me to share.

I mean the M5 box is certainly longer throw but I wouldn’t exactly call it mushy. My Honda was fine, and my kenworth were fine too... I’ve driven a lot of manuals.

It's time to sell the car and move on. You are obviously not happy with it, or the service you have been getting from Subaru. In addition, at this point no matter what Subaru does you are not going to be happy with the results. Life is too short for that aggravation.

Obviously, based on the fact that the transmission was replaced, you were having some level of issues. Every car model that has ever been produced, no matter how stellar, has individual cars that have issues. That doesn't mean they all do, but the only one that matters is the one you are driving. If it were me (and I have done this) I would sell or trade the car, get something different, and move on. I might write the dealership and Subaru to let them know my dissatisfaction and why I'll never be buying one of their cars again, or I might just silently slip away as a customer, it just depends on my mood.

You shouldn't have any issue ridding yourself of the car, given it is at about 50K miles. Yes you may lose some money in the deal so you'll have to decide if its worth it to you. That said the minute you bought a car you signed up to lose money on it, that's just the way it works.

Your only other alternatives are 1) to continue to fight the good fight, shopping for a dealer willing to fix it, or going to Subaru corporate, but it looks like you've exhausted that avenue. Given you are approaching the drivetrain warranty, I'm guessing you have run out of road on that one 2) pay to have the problem fix.

I suppose option 3) is to live with it.

As far as the fuel pump, realize that not everyone had the issue, and in the end it isn't even really an issue, as the pump was functioning fine, it was just noisy.
I appreciate your reply and that you’re trying to help me.

My friends have told me the same thing and I know you all are right. What’s holding me back is I don’t want somebody to have my address (which you have to write on the title) and then come to kill me. I’m legitimately concerned.

There is option D, destroy it with sledgehammers and drive it off a cliff into the ravine.

Another note, for those curious... I’m not sure I want to share which dealership, but actually the original dealership who did the replacement is a different dealership than the one I’ve had issues with since.
