LOL! I've met him a couple times. Very cool guy.

Thanks for changing thread title, should have mentioned that it was a review type video and not a versus thread.

Sorry still can't convince me that the Hyundai GC is worth the price. It just looks ugly and the interior is boring. Yes it may be faster with the sport tuning and applications but all that jazz doesn't quickly make me opt for a car just because it puts out higher numbers.

The fun factor and sporty feel is what makes me love the FR-S plus brought me back to imports from the dodge challenger I had.

I agree with most of what you are saying, although I like the new front, though I have already mistaken two for Velosters until I saw the rest of the car. They look practically identical from 100 feet or so.

you think the interior on the gen is boring compared to the FRS? Is even such a thing possible?

the entire exterior I give the EDGE to the FRS but the Gen owns the back end

Funny thing to me is this guy had a Dodge Challenger which interior is one of the worst looking in a so-called sport coupe and on top of that a car that looks like a rectangle box and borders on 4000+ lbs.

The FRS has a much better Chassis than the GC. You can see that in the handling.
1.6 second different in track times, BFD. Not same tires. Same tires will make it closer. R spec for a few grand more. Take that few grand and invest in intake and exhaust and you are making better track times. It all starts with the chassis, boxer motor and suspension design that make the real difference between the two cars. Turbos and Super Chargers are coming then you'll have all the power you could ever need. Anyway the FRS looks so much better than the GC. The GC is fugly!

Being a driver of an FR-S and seeing a Genesis Coupe in person according to my appeal? It's possible. Sorry if I might stick out as one of the view with a harsh opinion to those who love the car. I don't like the GC BUT..I will give the 3.8L credit for being able to compete with the V6 mustang, camaro, and challenger though.

Yeah I had a Challenger and traded it in for multiple reasons when I was looking at the FR-S..thanks for digging up my past but I got rid of the Challenger I had for barely a year if you really want to know.

Sorry if I don't consider the hyundai genesis the holy grail of sport coupe cars

I never said the GC was the holy grail of anything. Just stating that I found it funny you coming from a Challenger that you found the interior on the GC terrible.

The one thing I must add to the GC styling comments is I am happy that the only unattractive part of the car(f.bumper isn't all that bad to me but I prefer 2010-2012 front) is a part that you can replace in the aftermarket. The rest of the car is gorgeous. Now some cars have a ugly shape or certain things that the aftermarket can't fix and that's a different story.

I like just about everything about the GC besides the ridiculous pig heavy weight. If it were under 3k lbs, I'd love it. It's just too big for me.
