Well in the real world testing we were doing...It didn't really even change our temps much. Were always on the verge of crashing anyway so if there was a difference it could've been sucked up in the crash effect!

I collected awesome data from several tests I was able to do, including elevation tests. Good stuff.

A time machine. They'll be selling dinosaurs to zoos and circuses shortly.

Great work!

I had to sign up just to comment on this... very keen to see some results.

I love the low mount turbo and all stock locations & stock mounting. It's a clean install, I would myself be powder coating black and making look stealth as possbile.

Just a Q for us Aussies (in a land where a pod filter = instant rape from the cops)... is there any other way to mount the filter? Perhaps up near the fmic or near stock airbox?

I have not looked at a 86 too close yet but we tend to find ways to seal pods, such as enclosures or the WRX where we run in gaurde CAI, etc...

Cheers!

I would tend to think of that as a heat extractor vent, not a vent from which air is pulled. It IS facing the wrong way after all.

Isn't it only oiled pod filters that are an issue with the cops? My MR2 has a non oil type pod and i've never had any dramas. That being said, the recirculating gas pipe that vents to the air through a small filter is probably not quite legal (I think it takes gases from inside the rocker cover and recirculates it into the intake normally).

NSW is quite a bit more strict, the RTA states pod filters should be avoided due to noise and emission changes, It has to be solid mounted and enclosed.

Not sure if you are familiar with the po up this way but a big pod in the middle of the engine bay will unfortuantly have you fined/defected and sent to EPA for clearance if you are unlucky. even the completely hidden/sealed in-gaurd WRX systems have been defected.
