Hey that'd help me as well! Want to install this turbo kit once it comes out?

Heh. Sounds good. I've got one of their exhausts on order. Hoping it'll (eventually) bolt up to the turbo kit when it's offered.

I remember seeing that the side vent as actually designed to be cut out and made functional. Is it possible to relocate the battery and make the filter suck air from the side vent?

You would need some severe cutting to get air through the fender!

Really? On the BRZ you can pop the plastic clips on the trim piece and there's a pretty big open hole. Not sure how airflow would be, but I would imagine you could get some sort of fancy intake thing in there?

I'm not positive but I don't think the idea of the filter placement needs to be based on the cold air it could receive like a CAI but rather a safe place that avoids water and also cutting and fitment issues. Correct me if I'm wrong.

No, I was talking about cutting out a hole behind the fake vent and making a REAL vent.

That defeats the no cut install for this kit.... Also why are peoPle pressed for a ram or cold air into the turbo, it's still going to be performing he same after the intercooler and as far as ram air, you can't ram air into a turbo lol
