Why are you going to a 18" and not a 17" wheel? Do you have any plans to upgrade the brakes in future?

I have two sets of 17” wheels: oem and 9rr. They look small and very hidden inside the wheels arches. I will be selling 9rr rims on monday. Looking for 18”.
I like tsw bathurst wheels but they are unavailable in europe and have heard about some quality issues.

TSW Bathurst wheels look great! I was considering them, but got Konig Oversteer wheels instead. I chose them because: I have had two other sets of konig wheels that were good wheels. And the price of the wheels allowed me to spend more on tires.

The 18x8 oversteer is concave and slightly lighter than the stock 17x7, at 20.1lbs.

My front wheel in my sig.

I have no idea if they are available in Poland. They are a decent option for DD.

Hey,

Yes, Konigs look good. They would be even better if the spokes touched the outer edge of the wheel. Konig company doesn't have a dealer in Poland.

They will be sunk in like crazy. You would need a +15 offset to equal the poke of an 8" +35 wheel. Or a +1 offset to look like mine.

I'm currently on 225/40R18 on 18x8.5" ET44 wheels on stock suspension and ride height, and it is working great, however I'd like know what my options are for wider tires. Will 255/35R18 fit without rubbing? There's a lot of options for performance tires in 255/35R18, including AD08Rs, RS4s, Z3s, R1Rs, A7s, and RE71Rs

IMO, 255/35/18 is too wide for a 8.5" wheel. I understand that 8.5" is the narrowest "recommended" rim width. I also know that 255/35 200UTQG tires have a tread width of approx. 9.5". IMO, They fit better on a 9" or 9.5" wheel.

Additionally, a 255 200UTQG tire will have too much grip to work optimally with the soft stock suspension.

My suggestion would be to buy the 200UTQG tire you want, but in a 225/40/18.

Or, if you really need more grip: look into what suspension components would in combination with 255/35 tires provide better performance.

I would suggest asking this question in one of the Track threads. Hopefully, Guys with more hands on experience will provide more details/info that will help you.

Hi everyone,

I've recently purchased new wheels (18x9 +33) and am looking for suggestions when it comes to tires.

Currently at a roughly 2in drop with coilovers.

Couple questions come to mind:

1. I'm trying to keep the car pretty low at the moment, definitely not looking for 100% function. What size tire should I be looking at?

2. Are these wheels too wide, or offset too high for them to fit properly? I'm not huge on poke, and am curious what kind of camber adjustment im looking at to avoid poke.

Thanks in advance!

1. 245/35-18 is your tire size.

2. I think you're going to want/need a fair amount of camber. Should have enough in back just from lowering. Up front I think you'll want to maximize what you can get with camber bolts. I think you'll want at least -2.5° ish

You'd be fine with a 235/40 I think or even a 245/35 perhaps as the guy above said. You'll need front camber, natural rear camber will do fine.

Pictured is my 18x9 +25 with 235/40 and a very mild fender pull. -3.5 F -3 R

I’m terrible when it comes to tires. Is 235/40 stretched at all on 18x9?

Also do you have a tire brand preference or recommendation?
