If it were me I’d have them replace the entire bumper and front lip, they messed up, its their job to fix. As far as waiting for parts, you can drive the car until the parts arrive, doesn’t take more than a few hours at most to replace. You shouldn’t be without your car at all if you ask me.

Just wanted to make sure that I wasn't being unreasonable and should just let it go.

As far as waiting for the parts, unfortunately white is very difficult to paint match and most body shops recommend leaving the car with them.

The dealer can order direct from Subaru or toyota and have the bumper shipped already painted factory color.

Are you sure? I’ve never heard of ordering a bumper prepainted.

I just got a Blue tS a couple months ago and the dealer broke the bumper when it was removed from the car hauler. They replaced it with a brand new factory painted bumper and you wouldn't even know anything happened.

Bring it back have them pay for a rental until they fix it. You should not have to pay one penny for their error.

Also make sure they either order that red trim piece or find a way to transfer it over. I'd say they need to order all new parts and get it right completely.

I’ll need to call the dealer and ask. It’s just very uncommon to order a bumper prepainted.

Yeah it looks like the red trim is a one time use piece. I believe the emblem would also need to be replaced.

I believe the emblem can be reused, but like I said if I were in your situation I'd ask for all new parts. The car has a paint code for each color, if they use the correct paint color per the paint code you shouldn't notice any paint color difference.

The local body shops said that white pearl requires some sort of “tint” to match with the body. Unfortunately I don’t think this is something I can just do in one day.

Also, I called subarugenuineparts and the rep said Subaru has dropped the prepainted bumper stock already. He mentioned the prepainted bumpers are a limited quantity when the car is new.

Well that sucks, but either way they can order the bumper and have it painted elsewhere and then call you when its ready, and then give you a rental if it will take more than a day to install.

If you noticed it at the dealer why did you take delivery?
