How does this affect the clutch pedal travel? Can the pedal position be adjusted the same as on the stock setup?

Could probably have China make you one for $200 that will fail over and over again.. then the $600 price point might not seem half bad.

I think $600 is a great deal considering the pain that bent forks and jacked up TOB's cause.

Nothing was touched in the stock pedal besides removing the helper spring. Everything can still be adjusted if need be.

buy a new snout for $86
The New EO TOB for $55
New Fork for $26
Change trans fluid for $40
new Exedy Clutch assembly $200
Spend 2-3 hours of time pulling the trans every time it fails.

Worst failure I have seen to date was a bad TOB jammed and the fork broke the pivot ball out of the Trans case housing. Requiring a new transmission Bell housing case. $420

I just went through clutch replacement due to a failed TOB on track, and I can vouch for all of the above needing replacement - the input shaft snout, the fork, clutch assembly.


What I cant agree with is 2-3 hours for pulling and re-installing the trans. For me with no lift, on maxed out jackstands, and a makeshift floorjack converted to trans lift status - it was 8 to 10 hours haha! Full weekend job in 95+ degree 80%+ humidity Houston hellacious summer misery.


$600 to never do it again for a TOB failure? I cant throw the money at the solution fast enough...

Son of a biznitch.. looks like I need to do this upgrade.. there are many more track days in my future and I don't want this happening!!

The crappy part was - after 25K miles on the car, 8K+ of which were track laps, there was still 1/2 a usable clutch wear plate left. The TOB death, when bad enough - kills the input shaft protective snout AND the pressure plate fingers. So in theory - you loose a bunch of clutch life that you should have had because the pressure plate get gacked, while the wear plate is happy as a clam.

Just replaced my TOB (along with pristine clutch components) for $1100 at 60K miles. How much longer will the bearing part of yours last compared with a stock TOB?

A lift and a transmission jack definitely helps. Just slide the trans back and drop it about 4 inches. replace everything raise it and slide it back forward.

Nope. Bone stock motor wise. Headers and a ectutek tune that went in at the same time as the new clutch (500 miles ago), were the first power related modifications.
