Seems to be a narrow range, 60 to 65, and on worn roads. Not Portland bombed-out craters, but well-used, the kind that produces loud road noise. Smooth, new surface no noise.

Does not seem to be be rpm dependent.

I'm having the same issue. To me it sounds like a buzz you would hear in a blown speaker. It's almost like the speaker is vibrating at certain speeds or road types.

I'm changing my vote to a loose bottom cover or heat shield like tcoat suggested. Been there done that.
