yes if you open the hood is pretty violent noise but from the cabin it just sounds as crickets

Yep. Sorry I used some bad phrasing there. By "together" I didn't mean both at once just by switching back and forth that they are work "together" to deliver what the car is asking for. They are working together independently.

mmm i don t really like the word "independently" but yes they work together based on the percentages written on those tables

Is that noise injectors or high pressure fuel pump, whose chirping noise been brought up here few times? For me it is not enough an issue to care about though, til it's nothing wrong mechanically or electric, and if it's not affecting performance or life of engine. Just a trait of car to get used to.

Nope. The fuel pump is a whole different set of noises. More like and old V belt that has hardened up.

Hi all, there does seem to be lifter noise when hot but if you bring the idle up to around 1500 then turn the engine off it is considerably quieter as the engine runs down indicating to me that it does have a lot of injector noise.
