CEL is on after i just stored the stock ECU on to new OFT tablet

just like title says, there a CEL now just after i read the stock ECU and stored it on my new openflash tablet. i have not applied any tune to the car yet, matter of fact, the tablet only has the original file as of now.

Makes me think maybe i should put a tune on there after married the tablet. Reason I’m not is I’m waiting for Shiv to release the 4.01 version for K00D.

The code was P0700. Tablet asked if I want to erase it. Should I?

From what I've read so far, it's caused by unplugging while ignition is on. Very well could be my case as I've cleared the code and drove it for a bit and everything seems fine.

From what I read (haven't dealt with this myself) you can clear it. It seems that it has to do with unplugging the oft while the ignition is on (I edited my post to show the quote but I think I was too late for you to see it).

That was exactly what I did during the marrying process. I guess the bride wasn’t happy about it lol.

Assuming you’re an AT, my understanding is that this is what happens whenever the car isn’t running and something talks to the ecu. The transmission needs the car to be on to relay any information.

Yes I have an auto. Any way to clear that cel? By disconnecting better terminals? I should have erased the fault code when the tablet displayed it the first time, when I went back to diagnostic again there’s now no fault codes showing.

The ignition was on but engine was off when I married the car to tablet just like instruction says. Do u mean for auto we have to have the engine on the entire time when we communicating with oft?

You should be able to clear it with the oft. You’ll get it every time you flash the car unless P0700 gets disabled in romraider. It’s just what happens with autos. The engine needs to stay off during flashing per the instructions.

OFT is showing no fault codes right now even though cel still on.
