Openflash Tablet on Stock FR-S

Hello,

First post on this forum.

I recently picked up my 2013 FR-S and it is completely stock minus a K&N drop-in filter and TRD Exhaust. I am very interested in the OFT for future additions to my vehicle (intakes, headers, etc). However, are there any performance benefits I will notice from an OFT tune for my "mods" so far?

I apologize if this has been asked but I have not found any forum posts or website data about this specific question with these mods.

Thanks!

Thanks!

The car runs much smoother and less knock and even better Fuel economy (maybe not if you use all the extra oomph) but in general the torque dip is much smaller and massive power gains if you want to run E85 on the E85 cal supplied by OFT

Thanks! Either way, I feel the OFT is a benefit to have for any future modding. Just picked mine up.

Was just curious if I would notice any instant benefits out of the box.

I don't know about noticeable, but leaning out the fuel map will certainly give you a few horsepower back.

The way I see it, you can always resell it for not much less than you paid for it, you get to have fun tinkering with your car, and you get to save some money on fuel (to take full advantage of this you might want to make the mid range load cells leaner than the OFT map).

I have a Greddy cat back and A'pexi drop in so we are about the same. I saw A very noticeable difference when I flashed the OTS OFT 93oct V2 tune. I don't have a dyno but I'll bet it gave me 10hp and dead spot 3500 and 4000 is almost gone.

Switch back to stage 1 tune ...stage 2 is for aftermarket headers lol

The difference is noticeable even on a stock car. Rpm range of the torque dip is much more narrow by flashing the ots tune alone.
It's a nice project to enhance your knowledge about engines as well, if you're interested in the technical aspects.

PS: I'm running a setup pretty similar to yours.

He didn't say stage 2, he said V2..so I'm assuming he meant stage 1, version 2.0, as opposed to the earlier version 1.5 tunes
