that sound clip sounds exactly like my rattle. i had the tsb done where they spray grease in the rear shelf area, but that didnt cure it. the noise really only kicks up at highway speeds and when its windy out. started poking around today and moving the liners over the rear wheels does make a similiar sound.

So after work I stopped my home depot and got some washers like you said. 2 different sizes but I didn't know what size went where so I was like f it, anywhere they fit should be good. Long story short took the car for a drive, didn't hear anything...... Yet lol

Thanks!!

You're welcome. I hope that fixes it for you.
There are 3 pins that are a larger diameter (I think it is the ones that also hold the little flap in front of the wheel), and that is where the 3/8" washers would go. It doesn't really matter as long as they take up the slack. I used these same washers to stop a rattle at the 2nd under tray and the reverse light housing.

did you use a special tool to pop out the smaller plastic pop clips? the larger ones came out with ease, but i cant seem to get the others loose.

Just a flat bladed screwdriver. Once they pop up about 1/4" or so, they should pull right out. A couple of them were pretty stubborn, but if you if you pry one side of the pin, then the other, they shouldn't be too bad.

Just wanted to post an update for anyone still having this problem.

I had a sound coming from the same area as op, so I tired the rubber washer fix all around the wheel well and it didn't really fix anything.

What it ended up being was the big white plastic clip underneath the foam tool molds down in the trunk well. I tossed a big piece of duct tape over the clips on both sides and finally the rattle is gone.

Hope that helps someone.

I have a feeling it was my q300 that was creating the extra vibrations at highway speeds.

Weird Noise during stop and go

I have on recently. During stop and go I hear a weird noise on the pipe. Its annoying already. Anybody experience the same and any suggestions. My FRS is 2015 Automatic. I am looking for a solution or trying to figure out why? It was just a week ago when I hear the weird noise.
