The battery and connections are just the place to start. I agree with Ultramaroon that at this point it doesn't sound like the battery, though at first to me it did. After 5 pages it sounds like the starter or solenoid is taking a dump. He cleaned the terminals and posts, he needs to get the battery tested- those are free anyway. After that he has to start shelling out some Loonies.

I can pretty much eliminate the battery from the list because when this first acted up, I really needed the car to run and was in a really rushed situation, I bought a new battery after having the car boosted by a coworker on my drive home 7 months ago and it is on the car now. For the hell of it I will still get it tested out but I think I need to start going down the line now.

So next would be the starter solenoid I guess?

Get a VOM and carry it with you. Find your conections for the starter, Battery, solenoid, starter, ect. When you have the issue check to see where you lose voltage.

The connection to the starter is the next step.

Use a multimeter and, while a friend pushes the start button, look for 12 volts at the solenoid connector. If you have a trigger voltage, then it's the starter. If not, then look further upstream.

Be super careful to avoid shorting anything to ground.

That is ok, just buy longer leads and place the VOM on the hood where you can see it from inside when you push the start button.

So I don't have longer leads, I don't know where the starter connections are, and I have no friend.

GG I'm screwed.

The starter connections are on the starter. Lower passenger side of the car at the bell housing. Don't need a meter to check the connections but certainly will to check the voltage reaching it.
Drive down to London and will be your friend and help check it out. I do have long leads for my meter.
Yes Ultra I actually still have a meter.
No Hum it is solid state not a tube set.
