MY18 BRZ bumper direct replacement on GT86? - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Hi to all, my first post as a newbie on Toyobaru but since 1999 on Subarus generally, GT, WRX, STIs!
I am going to buy a EUDM GT86 next month cause I find it much cheaper than the BRZ, although the BRZ was my first choice for various reasons.
I plan to change it's front bumper with the MY18 BRZ version cause I like it much more than the angry GT86 bumper.
So my question is, DOES THE FRONT MY18 BUMPER OF A BRZ FITS WITH NO MODIFICATIONS ON THE MY18 GT86?

yes, facelifted 86 & BRZ bumpers are swappable...just keep an eye out for how you want to deal with the foglights and/or headlight washers if your 86 comes with them

I think the thing to look out for might be the headlight brackets. Definitely for a pre 2017 swap, but not sure for 2017+ swap. Toyota and Subaru's headlights might be shaped slightly differently, requiring the brackets to be slightly different

..that wasn't the case between 13-16 FRS/86 & 13-16 BRZ pre-facelift bumper swaps and it certainly shouldn't be an issue with the post 17 facelifted ones...headlights are pretty much the same shape...only issue is trying to swap the facelift bumper onto the pre-facelift front end and vise versa.

I'm not sure how it is in Europe, but as far as I know the GT86 has turn signals separate from the headlight, and the brz comes with turn signals integrated with the headlights. You may need to find headlights with integrated turn signals.

Are you Greek?

As far as I know there are very few GT86/BRZ in Greece and finally I bought a BRZ so my problem is solved!
