Because apparently it drives like one minus the fast.

Only time will tell. Meet back here on OCT.26.2045 and we can discuss outcomes with proof.
Not sure if troll or just delusional. Keep drinking the 86 koolaid. If you ever sat in even a Cayman S, you'll know that it's a much more special place to sit than in an econobox FR-S.

Don't get me wrong, the 86 is an insanely good value car for the way it handles. Just seems to me that people don't come to grips with reality that these cars are not as special as you make them out to be. I can guarantee that even in a short span of 10 years, these things will be no more than drift and track sluts like the 240sx.

Mass produced, far too many to be worth money regardless of years. I could see Z4’s being collectors cars for multiple reasons. Go look how many were produced in 2008 for example.

Neither.Chill. Your right I've never sat in a cayman S hence the.. :iunno:

I was saying that is why people think so. Not that I think so although dudes who know a lot more than me have compared it to a cayman as well.. I'm sure you've seen the same Chris Harris videos I hvae.

Disagree doesn't mean delusional. All I'm saying is that an exceptional example in 20 years may not be worth as little as you all think it will but again.... :iunno:

When new, these cars were bought by enthusiast who knew what they were. As second hand cars, there is a very small market absorbing the ones that are available. I tend to write-down at a rate of $3000/year when I buy a NEW car, so if you bought a 2013 for $30k, five years later it should be worth $15k. That is assuming reasonable care and maintenance.

Nah, in Texas we prefer crawling over California boys who “think” they are racers, ricers I mean. In all seriousness, there’s multiple forms of off-roading, not that you would know. We don’t all crawl massive rocks, plenty of fun trails to kick up dirt and mud. But I guess if one actually enjoys his top and doors off on way to work, then damn he MUST be a mall crawler! Sure is fun driving over curbs when a dumb ass won’t move up at light so I can make right hand turn.

And news flash, at least here in Canada a brand new base model Wrangler is the same price as a brand new base 86/BRZ, you should probably go back to your superior Jeep forum.
Canada? Is that a country? Toronto, piece of crap full of Asian wannabe gangsters. Only Americans who wanna move there are draft dodgers. Aren’t you same guy who dropped 50k on Ecoboost Mustang? Canada rapes you on taxes. You can have your healthcare, I’ll keep my money thank you. How’s that for a “generalization “?

LOL That was what I figured or I would have had way more to say.

For what it is worth ST18 wasn't screwing with you. From what I can tell from where he lives he is right. Jeeps being driven as Jeeps would be scarce there.

Easy to tell the mall crawlers around here (doors on or off) since they will be the ones with the heavy coat of mud all in one colour, a 5 year old winch cable still in the factory winding position with the caution tag on the end, perfectly intact and unmarked bumpers and fender flairs and a nice cover on the spare saying how great the Jeep life is. The real thing will be clean or have layers of different mud, the winch cable will look like a mangled slinky, the bumpers and flairs will be bent, cracked or scrapped and if there is even a spare tire it will not be covered.

I have never owned a Jeep but used to have a blast dune running, trail blazing or even rock climbing in the old military pattern Dodge Power Wagons or Kaiser Jeeps.
