Oh you should not be surprised by now. It could get resurrected three years from now when somebody posts "Me too"

I did, as well as TCoat's excellent summation. I also thought you were swapping often.

I said I drive back and forth to work which takes 1/4 a tank each day. Not that I waste 1/4 of a tank.

I think you missed the period and because i did not capitalize the E in each.

@Riftur how often do you switch back and forth?
my total cost for flex fuel with a pnp harness was $154...

You are aware that the OFT has flex fuel right? Shop on Ebay for a used flex kit or piece one together yourself and build an arduino analyzer. Heck, I'd make you an analyzer ready to go with wiring instructions for $85.

I've done both...

It took me a long time to realize that time truly is money.

In this case, I'd certainly be ok with spending the money on a Flex Fuel kit, vs farting around every time I need/want to switch.
I've done both, it is definitely worth it to go flex fuel even at a higher cost...

I also thought you were changing frequently. This is a case of too much information, perhaps simply the question "what is the best way to drain fuel from this tank".

My tuner has this problem all the time as people want to be tuned on E85. I dont believe there is an easy solution otherwise Im sure he would be doing it. Its quite tricky with the fuel tank essentially in 2 halves. His advice is normally to run it almost dry (yup annoying) and then fill up with E85 as close as possible to him. Then take it easy driving it there.

I dont quite understand why you are switching back to 93? How long do you stay on 93? I sometimes go on a longer drive away from E85 stations and just throw in a jerry can or 2 in the boot. Yup not ideal but for me its less hassle then changing fuels.

It's so easy in a return fuel system, just disconnect the return hose into a container and run it till the engine stops, done.

I had switched my car to e85 for about 7 months. We had the hurricane coming to south florida and there was no e85 so I had to switch it back to 93. I am going to switch it back to e85 again and was hoping to find a better way to empty my tank. Currently I drive it till it is almost empty. Then I use the Torque app to run the tank down as low as possible before putting in the e85 or 93. Drive it slowly for a short time then use the OFT to tune it. My biggest issue is there are not many stations that sell e85 and only 1 by my house and none by my work. It takes me a bit less than a quarter of a tank to make my commute to work each day so I have to make sure I have at least that much in my car on work days.

I am shocked that people seem offended from such a simple question. I did not expect that from this thread. Thanks for the kind words though.

From that description it sounds like not having flex fuel does bother you. When I was doing higher km I used to fill up 2 jerry cans when I was already filling up, leave them in the garage and top up in the evening.

Did you see Jaden's post? If you have OFT it sounds like they have a flex fuel tune already. The biggest cost of flex fuel is the tuning. The sensor and a bit of wiring isn't expensive. Flex fuel is the best solution, still get the power gains when you are running ethanol and no worries when you can't get it.

I have a protuned brzedit tune which is locked. I got it before I read much about the options available, I wish I had OFT.

I have E85 near my house and near work so not as worried. Only thing is when I go to the track I take a few jerry cans. Although I prefer to run straight E85 at the track anyway.

I fail to see how OP's link makes this any easier. I think you'd be best with a F/F kit. Plus, it accounts for lower ethanol content (maybe the station you go to gets some bad gas?).

I've resolved if I go back to e85 I'm getting the kit.
