Maybe if you switched weekly for the lifetime of the car MAYBE you'd go through 650 gallons of fuel getting the tank low? You think?

Say you spend 45 min using up gas. Average 50 mile an hour. 37.5 miles x wear and tear .55(Gov average) =$20.63. Gas would be around $4 of this Time If you would just work more than driving =$41.25(If you make 110K a year) If you work at McDonalds =$11.25 If you drive instead of spending time with your family =Priceless. Math comes up to just under 8 conversions to pay for the $500 kit on the first one. Even the MacDonalds employee is under 16 Conversions. Not picking on MacDonalds employees! Anyone that works and supports them self’s I have respect for! Just rough numbers and estimates. You can adjust your time and values to whatever fits your situation. May make sense to you may not. |

If I was switching back and forth all the time I would invest the money but that is not the case.

If switching back and forth weekly or between tanks the kit is. Would just take one time to forget to change the tune and your engine could be toast.

If I remember correctly I asked a very specific question about siphoning gas to make it easier. Everyone else went into all kinds of other stuff. That is not my fault. I stated a reason for it and asked for an opinion since there is no info I found when searching around.

Well, if I recall correctly, for a while there last year hurricanes were about a weekly occurrence.

1) my entire life is not working. I converted on my off time. I lost no money due to lot working. That's a dumb part of the equation. 2) I converted when I already needed gas. I think I may have driven an extra 5 miles (I took the opportunity to do a couple 0-60 runs to compare) IT took me very little time and almost no extra money. Your example is pretty much retarded because someone would have to be a moron to do what you did there. Fail |

OP, if you consider driving around to use 1/4 tank "to just waste gas", perhaps you "bought the wrong car". Surely there is some stretch of road even if FL that would be a fun way to "waste gas".
